Issue #3 of Frozen Wavelets comes out in a different world from the one we used to know. Covid-19 has changed how we live, we work, we function with the others. More changes are on their way.

Everything has suddenly become more challenging, and even keeping this tiny zine afloat has required a lot of efforts. We feel lucky we could still go on. And, with delays and changes of plans, here it is.

You will find fifteen amazing authors, some of them past contributors to FW. This issue #3 has maybe a darker tone than the previous one but it is accompanied by some truly visionary poetry. The poem in translation with its Bulgarian original for Spring 2020 is by Margarita I Serafimova, who has already been featured in Issue #1.

Some announcements: we have now an ISSN number, and we will be able to put the magazine on sale on the various platforms, in the near future. Without the Covid-19, it would have already happened; but it eventually will.

The special issue dedicated to nonbinary speculative fiction we had originally planned for Fall 2020 has not been cancelled, just delayed to Spring 2021. The hope is that things will have reverted to some sort of normality by then.

Finally, submissions. FW will be open for submission between 1-15 August 2020. For this specific submission window, we are especially looking for speculative poetry and drabbles. Also, we don’t receive as much of science fiction and horror pieces as we would like (good SF-horror would be perfect). So now you know what to submit.

Have a good summer solstice, enjoy Frozen Wavelets #3, and let us know your favourite pieces.
